June 2009

June marked the end of Edie's first year of preschool. We went camping with Hilary, Jeremy & Jake at Lake Jenkinson - had a camp fire going the whole weekend. Lots of playdates with Maelah and Ian, trips to the zoo and lake anza. We ended the month with a BBQ at Timmy & Michael's in Petaluma, Ian's birthday and the start of summer school.

may came and went in a flash, are the months going by faster?
little farm with uncle chris before he returned to england.
hula hooping, dad did a sing-a-long at school, mel's BBQ,
a new desk, camping with sarah walsh and friends, make-up party
with bijou and stella, playdates with ian, maelah and wiley.
lots of swimming at lake anza, strawberry canyon and pool party
at her cousins. ella turned one, so another party.

april 09
A trip to seal beach to see nana and grandpa,
running down the grassy hill at the Getty was
her favourite activity at the museum. Kites
on Seal Beach. Lots of playdates, Itai's birthday party and a visit from Uncle Chris.

Grand Cayman
we went to see Laura & Graham in Grand Cayman and met Nonno there. naps on the beach, shallow clear water, playing with suzie the dog, dinner outside and discovering the prisoner (a wine). thanks Laura and Grey, we had a wonderful time. looking forward to doing it again.

March 09 (part one)
March was all about games and vacation (part two to follow). Jigsaws, matching/memory cards, table tennis, drawing, painting, bikes and scooters. A visit to the academy of sciences with Sarah Walsh, trip to the zoo (a monthly event). We found out that Edith got into CCC, our first choice pre-school (hooray!). We will miss The Gay Austin School and Edie will miss Wiley but I am sure we will see him in Totland, they are rather fond of each other! Playdates with Ian and Maelah.
And of course hanging with her girls on Wednesday nights, Franny, Stella and Bijou.

feb 09
another fun filled month. the rain kept us indoors quite alot but that gave edie a chance to catch up on activities like painting, puzzles, card games, theatre puppets and table-tennis.
play dates with ian, maelah, dinner dates with stella, bijou and franny and meeting harry at the park. visits to the zoo and little farm. lots of dog petting (she gets a bit hysterical).
soccer practice, running away and her new tricycle (thanks tim) were the outside sports. we had visits from mandana and matt (thanks for the gifts). there was a co-op get-together. lots of wrestling with wiley and quinlan from school. you can probably tell 'pulling faces' was the main activity of the month.

jan 09
another full month. edith turned 3. lots of dress-up and imagination play. back to school.
we had our first parent/teacher meeting. all clear on the 3 year doctor check-up. picnic with
jake and ella. playdates with ian, maelah, harry and soly. dinner parties with franny, bijou and stella. chasing dogs. petting penny. zoo visit. at the movies. hair trim. and too much tv.
